Originally unveiled at the 2018 New York Auto Show, the Genesis Essentia Concept is now traveling the world.

The stunning concept made its summer 2018 concours debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este this past weekend, taking part in the concours parade on Saturday, as well as the celebration at Villa Erba on Sunday. The concept, according to the Korean luxury automaker, “elevates and reimagines Genesis’s ‘Athletic Elegance’ design paradigm while providing a vision of future product performance and technology.”

It’s also the brand’s first battery electric vehicle, although it is a concept. It features a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque, multi-motor electric powertrain, and a custom-tailored interior. Genesis says the Essentia also serves as the brand’s first vision for a true GT car and has an estimated zero-to-60 mph time of three seconds.

Expect to see the Genesis Essentia Concept to make appearances at various auto shows and luxury events throughout the year.

“With this project, we set-out to create an object of desire, passion, and inspiration,” said Manfred Fitzgerald, global head of the Genesis Brand. “That is why we were so proud to accept the invitation to share the Essentia with the public during our first appearance at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.”
