Johan De Nysschen Out at Cadillac
Steve Carlisle is the new senior vice president at GM and president of Cadillac, taking over from Johan de Nysschen.
De Nysschen will leave the company effective immediately, allowing Carlisle to take over from the South African who was appointed to his position in 2014.
“We appreciate Johan’s efforts over the last four years in setting a stronger foundation for Cadillac,” said GM President Dan Ammann. “Looking forward, the world is changing rapidly, and, beginning with the launch of the new XT4, it is paramount that we capitalize immediately on the opportunities that arise from this rate of change. This move will further accelerate our efforts in that regard.”
Carlisle comes to his new position from GM Canada, where he was the president and managing director.

There, he was highly successful, leading the company to become number one in retail sales in 2017. That same year saw Buick, GMC, and Cadillac achieve their highest sales ever.
“The potential for Cadillac across the globe is incredible and I’m honored to be chosen to be a part of mapping that future,” said Carlisle. “I look forward to building on our current momentum as we continue on our mission to position Cadillac at the pinnacle of luxury.”
Travis Hester, current VP of Global Product Programs, will take over from Carlisle as president of GM Canada.

De Nysschen should go down as an all time train wreck. Ruined Infiniti and Cadillac. But hey they did get a New York office and coffee place from his leadership.....
