Aston Martin DB11 Looks Even Better in Red Bull Test Scheme
Aston Martin Red Bull Racing debuted their Formula 1 challenger for the 2018 racing season this week – the new RB14.
The RB14 was presented in a special blue and black camouflage testing livery before the car was put through its paces on a rainy Silverstone Circuit by Red Bull F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo on Monday. It wasn’t the first time Red Bull had shown its F1 challenger in a camo livery during the pre-season, with the team having done the same thing with the RB11 in 2015.
That special camouflage test livery was also applied to an Aston Martin DB11 for the test, which Ricciardo posed with for some photos. The Red Bull athlete, along with teammate Max Verstappen, has been enjoying driving an Aston Martin over the past couple of years as part of the team’s branding partnership with the British automaker.

This specially prepared DB11 isn’t the only Aston Martin with a bit of Red Bull influence. The team’s technical boss Adrian Newey has also lent his expertise to the Aston Martin Valkyrie, penning the mid-engine hypercar’s styling and aerodynamics. The Valkyrie is expected make over 1,000 hp from its naturally aspirated Cosworth-developed V12 engine and hybrid drive system. It will be released in 2020.
The Red Bull RB14 will take to the track in its real, actual racing scheme during preseason testing in Spain on February 26th.
