Jaguar has revealed the world’s newest super sedan, the 2018 Jaguar XJR575, which can reach its top speed of 186 mph (299 km/h) in just 44 seconds.

The 2018 Jaguar XJR575 is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that outputs 575 horsepower (hence the name) and 517 pound-feet of torque, which helps the full-size sedan hit 60 mph in 4.2 seconds (100 km/h in 4.4 seconds). All told, this is the fastest and most powerful XJ ever. An electronic active differential helps get all that power to the wheels for maximum traction.

The sedan will be available in two special colors, Velocity Blue and Satin Corris Grey, while the exterior also gets unique design touches like a rear spoiler, front bumper, side sills, and lower air intakes finished in a gloss black surround. The hood also gets new twin hood louvres and red brake calipers peek out behind the unique 20-inch gloss black wheels. Inside, drivers will be treated to quilted leather seats, a larger 10-inch touchscreen, and 4G LTE internet connectivity.

Pricing for the 2018 Jaguar XJR575, a new performance flagship for the brand, will be announced later this year.

Jaguar debuted its new XJR575 by doing an interview with Wayne Burgess, the British automaker’s Production Studio Director and SVO Projects, at the car’s top speed. Watch the video below:
