Here's How the Acura NSX GT3 Race Cars Will Look This Season
The new Acura NSX GT3 liveries have been revealed.
Set to compete in the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge, the liveries feature a combination of RealTime Racing’s traditional blue, white and orange colors in a mirror-image pattern common to both Acura Motorsports NSX GT3 racing efforts this year. The designs are an updated take on the iconic RealTime Racing design first seen on the Acura TLX GT and is the work of Acura creative director Dave Marek. Marek is also responsible for the liveries on the Acura NSX GT3s being campaigned by Michael Shank Racing in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Returning to RealTime Racing to drive the number-43 Acura NSX GT3 will be three-time Pirelli World Challenge race winner Ryan Eversley. Eversley’s car features a white nose, transitioning through shades of grey to dark blue at the rear. Sporting a reverse pattern is the number-93 car, which will be piloted by Dutch racing veteran Peter Kox, who was the original development driver for the Acura NSX GT3.

Naturally, both cars will feature the RealTime Racing “squircles,” which are orange, blue and grey ovals scattered throughout the bodywork and first featured on the team’s Acura TLX GTs from 2014-2016. There are also splashes of orange to complete the livery, a feature seen on all Acura Motorsports race cars since the 1990s.
“Our fans greeted the Michael Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3s with great enthusiasm, and we think they’ll be equally thrilled with both the looks and performance of the RealTime Racing cars in this year’s Pirelli World Challenge,” said Art St. Cyr, president of Honda Performance Development, which includes the Acura Motorsports efforts. “Now we have two iconic liveries in two series representing Acura Precision Crafted Performance. We look forward to building on our history of success with RealTime Racing in 2017, and building on our strong start in IMSA with Michael Shank Racing.”
