GMC Sierra HD All Terrain X Brings Off-Road Goodies to Diesel Truck

The heavy duty GMC Sierra just got even more heavy duty with the addition of the All Terrain X model, which has been beefed up for increased off-road capability.

Unveiled in Texas, the new 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 HD All Terrain X is the most off-road capable truck in the Sierra HD lineup and is the third model in GMC’s limited edition All Terrain X series. It joins the Canyon and Sierra 1500.

The All Terrain X series will be offered on the 2500 crew cab 4WD truck with either the 6.0-liter gas V8 or the all-mew Duramax 6.6L V8 turbodiesel, which delivers 445 horsepower and a generous 910 pound-feet of torque.

All Terrain X 2500s will get 18-inch black aluminum wheels, Goodyear Duratec MT-rated off-road tires, a monochromatic black color scheme, the Z71 off-road suspension package, spray-on bedliner, front and rear park assist, underbody shield, heated steering wheel, all-weather floor liners, and an Eaton automatic locking rear differential. Other available features include GMC’s 8-inch touchscreen, remote locking tailgate, remote start, back-up camera, adjustable pedals, leather seats, heated front seats and wireless charging.

Pricing for the 2017 GMC Sierra HD All Terrain X hasn’t been released yet.
