Maserati Quattroporte, Ghibli Sedans Recalled for Suspension Issue
The 2014-2016 Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli sedans are being recalled to address an issue with their rear suspension.
The recall affects a total of 26,464 units in the U.S. and were manufactured between February 1, 2013 and September 18, 2015. According to the recall notice, the bolt securing the tie rod to the hub carrier assembly in the rear suspension may not have been properly tightened, potentially causing the rear suspension to fail, increasing the risk of a crash. Maserati is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue and it was discovered during an investigation into reports of excessive noise.

To fix the issue, Maserati dealers will inspect the left and right rear tie rod to hub carrier assembly attaching bolts to verify that they are properly tightened. They will also replace the rear tie rod to hub assembly as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 1, 2016.
