Alfa Romeo Giulia Joins Italian Police Force to Transport Organs
The Alfa Romeo Giulia has joined the Italian police force.
Instead of being used for high-speed chases to catch bad guys, the Giulia will actually serve as a vehicle for emergency medical use, transporting organs and blood. And this isn’t just your plain Jane, entry-level Giulia, the Italian police force is taking advantage of the Quadrifoglio’s Ferrari-sourced twin-turbo V6 engine packing 505 horsepower to help save lives. It will also be used to help escort ceremonial cars.

Outfitted with your typical police garb, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio gets radios and lights, a portable defibrillator and LED flashlights in the doors. The Italian automaker doesn’t mention any performance upgrades to the car’s brakes or engine, but it’s unlikely that it’s necessary considering that the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio holds the fastest sedan lap time at the world famous Nurburgring.
The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is expected to arrive in the U.S. sometime later this year or early next year.
