Alfa Romeo plans to show off its new crossover, the Stelvio, at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show in November of this year.

Alfa Boss Harald Wester told Motoring.au that the brand’s new crossover will be “presented in late Autumn this year,” which almost certainly means it will come in LA. At the 2015 LA Auto Show, Alfa Romeo revealed the Giulia Quadrifoglio, so the automaker is no stranger to debuting cars at the California show.

The 2017 Alfa Romeo Stelvio will be based on the same platform as the Giulia and will be offered with both rear-wheel and front-wheel drive. Like that car, a 2.2-liter diesel and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine will likely be offered with the crossover. A high performance Quadrifglio version with 510 horsepower from a Ferrari-derived 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 is also said to be in the works.

Wester also reconfirmed that Maserati has no plans to “further extend our range downwards in the more compact SUV segment.”
