GMC is teasing the new 2017 Acadia before it debuts next week at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.

The brand has released a single teaser image showing the rear end of the new Acadia, revealing just a bit of the crossover’s new style.

A full redesign is due for the Acadia, including a new platform and fresh powertrains. The crossover is also rumored to shrink to better fit into the midsize crossover field. Front-wheel drive will remain standard while all-wheel drive will be an option.

Under the hood, a 3.6-liter V6 mated to an eight- or nine-speed transmission is likely, while a larger twin-turbo V6 may also be offered as a more powerful option. A small turbocharged four-cylinder engine is another possibility.
