McLaren is releasing more details on the 675LT before the car debuts at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

Based on the 650S, the new 675LT, which stands for Long Tail, has 40 percent more downforce thanks to a full aerodynamic makeover and the addition of a large active rear wing. Power has been cranked up as well, with the revised 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 cranking out 516 lb-ft of torque. McLaren says that a controlled delivery of 443 lb-ft of torque is available from a standing start in first gear, while the full range of torque becomes accessible from 5,500 to 6,500 rpm.

A new lightweight titanium exhaust is unique to this car because shedding pounds is also an important part of the 675LT. There will likely be more weight saving measures announced when we get full details.

The 675LT is a more track-focused version of the 650S Coupe and Spider, though it will only be available as a coupe.

Full details on the car will be revealed on Tuesday, March 3 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
