As if 572 horsepower isn’t enough, one Bentley exec wants an even hotter version of the Continental GT3-R.

“I want us to celebrate our race success and have an even more extreme version, with not only an updated drive and powertrain but also new styling to closely link the race and road cars,” Bentley design chief Luc Donckerwolke told Autocar. “Why not?” he said, “as the GT3-R has been a success. We’ve sold all 300 and a lot of people would want an even more extreme one.”

The Continental GT3-R was revealed at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed, with the company touting it as its most dynamic road car to date. It uses a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 that makes 572 hp at 6,000 RPM and 516 lb-ft at 1,700 RPM. That makes it capable of jumping from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.

Donckerwolke thinks that this is the sort of car Bentley needs if it wants to attract a younger audience. “There’s a big opportunity to make more emotional cars in Bentley’s future for younger people. We did it in the past and we can do it again,” said Donckerwolke.
