Team M-Sport Bentley has kicked off its 2014 racing campaign in Monza, Italy with a modest start.
The pair of Bentley Continental GT3 race cars finished seventh and eighth place in the first race of the Blancpain Endurance Series. It wasn’t all without hiccups either as driver Steven Kane actually hit the wall nose-first during qualifying on Saturday. Fortunately, the Bentley Continental GT3 race cars are sturdy enough that the team was able to fix it overnight in order to compete in Sunday’s race.

With an encouraging start to the season, the M-Sport Bentley team will now head to Silverstone circuit for round two of the Blancpain Endurance Series on May 24-25.
“This weekend has been a very good opening test of our cars and team,” said Brian Gush, Bentley’s Director of Motorsport. “We’ve learnt a great deal and have many areas where we can make small improvements, but the whole team worked extremely hard and we’re very pleased with two top ten finishes in our first competition race. During the race the cars were strong and our drivers put in great performances, and I’m looking forward to being able to build from here at the next race at Silverstone.”
