The Fiat 500L is getting a new top-trim level, known as the 500L Beats Edition, along with two new engine options in the European market.

The namesake for the Beats Edition car is the Beats audio system that Chrysler has adopted for many of its vehicles, developed in conjunction with Dr.Dre and record producer Jimmy Iovine. Styling changes include the two-tone gray and black paint job which can be had in either matte or glossy finishes, accenting by red and satin chrome bits.

On the inside, Fiat says the car gets a ‘total black’ style, accented with red stitching.

As for the engines, Fiat is adding two new options to the 500L, both of which make 120 hp. The first is a 1.6-liter turbodiesel that puts out 120 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque, with Fiat saying it will be the motor of choice for fuel economy.

The other engine is a 1.4-liter turbocharged gas unit that makes 120 hp and 158 lb-ft of torque, and is capable of running on propane.

As of right now, all of these additions to the lineup are for the European market. Here in North America, the 500L can be had with a Beat audio setup on some trims, and comes equipped with a 1.4-liter turbo four cylinder that makes 160 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque.
