McLaren’s upcoming “entry-level” car will cost almost $200,000 (£120,000) in the U.K. when it goes on sale in that market.

The car will use a carbon fiber composite chassis and a version of the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 found in the MP4-12C according to AutoCar. It will be smaller and lighter than the 12C and is intended to be more of a pure driver’s car featuring improved driving dynamics without competing in terms of outright performance. It will still be able to reach 60 mph in under four seconds with a top speed of about 185 mph.

McLaren is aiming to build between 2,000 and 2,500 of the car, which it has yet to name. Currently, the car is being reported as the P13, although McLaren said it doesn’t plan to market the car under that name.

Its styling is expected to be heavily influenced by the P1 plug-in hybrid halo car pictured above.
