Aston Martin CC100 Concept Finds Two Buyers

When Aston Martin first unveiled its CC100 Speedster concept, it was believed that the project was a gift to the brand as part of its centenary celebration, but the British automaker decided to do an extremely limited-production run of just two units.

According to reports, it was decided during the building process for the CC100 that Aston Martin would sell the exotic to a collector who paid around $768,000 (£500,000). That was the first sold CC100, and the same vehicle that the British automaker displayed in public, most recently at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Displaying the concept garnered enough attention that an additional Aston fan simply just had to have it. The unknown buyer commissioned one more to be produced by Aston Martin, which will be scheduled for delivery later this year. That vehicle is planned to be given a special single-type approval to its owner so that it can be driven on public roads.

The CC100 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine and uses a sequential gearbox and a lightweight body made of carbon fiber. According to the automaker, it hits 60 mph from a standstill in four seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph.
