After detailing engine specifications a week ago, McLaren Automotive has now revealed full performance specifications on its hybrid supercar.

Powered by a twin-turbo hybrid 3.8-liter V8 engine making 903-hp, the McLaren P1 will hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in under three seconds. From there it will blast on to 124 mph (200 km/h) in under 7 seconds and finally speed to 186 mph (300 km/h) in under 17 seconds. That number puts the P1 a full five seconds faster to 300 km/h than the original McLaren F1.

As for the car’s top speed, McLaren always made a point of saying the car was not intended to do battle with Bugatti for top speed honors, and it certainly doesn’t come close to touching the Veyron. Instead McLaren has limited the P1’s maximum velocity at 350 km/h or 218 mph. The Veyron tops that number by almost 50 mph at 267.81 mph.

Looking nearly identical to the concept, McLaren said it consulted with buyers as to what design changes to make and the consensus was that nothing should be. In keeping with customer wishes, the only update seen from the concept is some new small ducting ahead of the front wheels to aid in downforce and cooling.

Priced at £866,000 (or roughly $1.3 million) the P1 will be extremely limited, with production set at just 375 units, ensuring it is one of the rarest, most exotic cars on the planet.

they should give us more info with the limiter removed for the P1! 218 mph is way too low for a 900 hp car, if this can't beat Veyron's acceleration, then this car is probably not good as it looks!they said atheoreticaltopspeedof 384 km/h, then without the limiter it may go from 384 to 420 km/h...
