The Acura ILX race cars built by Team Honda Research West in collaboration with Honda Performance Development and Solo Motorsports will be on display at SEMA this year.

Hoping the ILX will be a success on and off the track, the Japanese automaker is venturing into bigger motorsports series like World Challenge. SEMA is a prime location for the ILX to gather attention from potential teams that would be interested in campaigning the vehicle in other series.

The new ILX race cars won’t make their racing debut until later on this year at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, but stay tuned for live coverage of the show where more information will likely be available.
