The sexy, shiny Jaguar E-Type revival concept that has made the rounds in the past few weeks is entering ultra-limited production.

Swedish firm Vizualtech plans to build the first car in the summer of 2012, taking about six months to build each example by hand. The cars will be based on the Jaguar XKR chassis, using the R’s supercharged 5.0-liter V8 for 600 horsepower. With a carbon fiber chassis and a weight a shade under 3,500 pounds, the Growler should hit 60 mph in less than four seconds.

The small design company has never built any car like this before, so they may contract the work to specialists such as Steyr in Austria, which builds many German vehicles for BMW and Volkswagen. And the price will reflect the exclusivity: at a minimum of $700,000, is a four-eyed E-Type worth the sensual Sixties flashback?

When will they be available in dealers showrooms?

If you are waiting for a "dealer" my friend you're not qualified for one of these. There will be a prepaid waiting list for these sweeties.
