Alfa Romeo Pandion Betrone Mantide Concept Celebrates The Past, Hints at the Future
Unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this year, the Alfa Romeo Pandion Bertone Mantide concept car is once of three coachbuilt vehicles built to celebrate the brand’s centennial. Based on the Alfa 8C platform and using the same 4.7-liter V8 engine, it features over-the-top design language, especially when it comes to the particularly Baroque wheels and rear end.
It also features two massive doors that run the length of the car, flipping upwards to create access to the 2+2 cabin.
The car is also said to feature design traits that will inspire future Alfa models. We certainly hope that includes the sinister front end.

Concept cars are meant to bring attention to a brand and to analyze public reaction to design. This concept car has a good looking front end but the thing as a whole is ridiculous. Imagine just returning home in stormy weather and you can't get out of your car because you know the second you open the door a gust of wind will tear it off. I love Alfa's and recently parted with my tired 1988 Milano which I had since new. Hopefully they will be back and I will be able to get a new one.
I agree that this concept is a little too over the top. Aside from the wheels (which I think are great) I expected more from Alfa. The front end is a bit too Honda Civic for me as well
