Audi Takes Its EV Crossover to the Nurburgring for Testing
The Audi E-Tron Quattro is expected to launch next year.
The last time spy photographers caught the all-electric crossover testing, it was on public roads. But now the German automaker is turning to the Nurburgring to put the E-Tron Quattro to the test. All the camouflage has remained since the last time we saw the crossover testing, so unfortunately we don’t get to see anything new on the car. But it does appear the production car will retain the overall shape of the concept from 2015.

For the most part, the E-Tron Quattro will look similar to the upcoming Q6 crossover, although Audi promises the two are entirely different cars. Audi is aiming to have the car on the market by next year to compete with the Tesla Model X and the new Jaguar I-Pace. Expect it to have a range around 311 miles (500 kilometers) and to be built on the same platform as the Porsche Mission E.
