You might be able to make an argument against Jaguar’s F-Type Coupe, but you would have the majority of AutoGuide.com’s readers to fight over it.

The British sports car took the 2015 AutoGuide.com Reader’s Choice Sports Car of the Year Award and it isn’t hard to see why. The new F-Type Coupe R, for example, makes 550 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque, but the rear highlight is listening to its blown 5.0-liter V8 make that power.

Jaguar offers its beast of a performance machine with carbon ceramic brakes and a standard electronically controlled rear differential to help make use of that power while cornering. At $99,925 to start (including delivery), the F-Type Coupe R is hardly inexpensive, but it’s also the sort of car that grabs more attention than cars that cost twice as much.

With seven different vehicle categories voted for in this year’s Reader’s Choice Awards, Ford took home two wins including the Truck of the Year for the F-150 and the Car of the Year for the Mustang. Winners in the remaining Reader’s Choice categories include the Mercedes S-Class Coupe for Luxury Car of the Year, the Cadillac Escalade for Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year, the Subaru Outback for the Utility Vehicle of the Year and the BMW i8 for the Green Car of the Year.
