There’s a rumor that Ferrari is planning an open air version of its LaFerrari halo car to go on sale next year.

Ferrari hasn’t officially confirmed the report, which comes from Automobile magazine with little other detail. The brand is also planning to launch its LaFerrari XX – a hardcore, track-only version – in 2015. According to the report, Ferrari will limit production to 50 copies compared to the 499 original LaFerraris that have already been spoken for. Pricing for the open air model is supposed to be roughly double that of the coupe, meaning it would cost roughly $2.8 million.
