The new 2013 Maserati Quattroporte isn’t making its official public debut until next year’s Detroit Auto Show, but now engine details are starting to surface.

It appears that the new Quattroporte will have two engine options: A 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 and a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8. The smaller V6 engine will pump out 410 hp while the V8 will churn out an impressive 530 hp.

Both engines will feature aluminum blocks with direct injection and will be mated to a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission.

Based on those figures, the Quattroporte is expected to hit 60 mph from a standstill in about five seconds with the V6 and around 4.7 seconds with the V8. The V6 will offer a top speed of 177 mph, while the V8 will top out at 191 mph.
